US Commandos Storm Ship Carrying Secret China–Iran Cargo
In a rare and highly sensitive maritime interdiction, US special operations forces raided a cargo vessel travelling from China to Iran, seizing military-related components believed to be bound for Iran’s weapons programmes. The action, conducted in international waters in the Indian Ocean several hundred miles off Sri Lanka’s coast, underscores rising geopolitical tensions and efforts to curb clandestine arms transfers amid enduring sanctions on Tehran.
According to US officials cited by the Wall Street Journal, the ship was tracked through intelligence that indicated the presence of dual-use items — parts or materials that could have both civilian and military applications, including components potentially useful for conventional weapons or missile programmes. Upon boarding, U.S. commandos confiscated and destroyed the disputed cargo before allowing the vessel to continue its voyage to Iran. The operation involved a team of specially trained forces boarding the ship at sea — a method rarely used in recent years for commercial cargo — reflecting a more assertive posture by Washington to disrupt networks it says help Tehran rebuild military capacity.
What makes this raid particularly significant is that the vessel was reportedly operating under a legitimate commercial flag, with paperwork that appeared compliant on the surface. This suggests that sanctioned military components may be moving through otherwise normal trade channels — hidden within routine shipments, routed through neutral ports, and supported by complex logistics chains.

The “Fresh” Seafood Myth You’ve Probably Fallen For
A lot of people think frozen seafood is the backup plan — something you buy when you can’t get it fresh. But here’s the truth: when it comes to quality, frozen can actually be fresher than what’s behind the grocery store counter.
Most “fresh” fish has already been frozen for transport, and is then thawed for display (sometimes even thawed and refrozen many times!). By the time you see it on ice at the seafood counter, it may have been sitting there for days. Not exactly what you pictured when you thought “fresh,” right?
For fish that’s truly fresh, “frozen” should be your go-to choice. Wild Alaskan Company freezes wild-caught seafood from Alaska just hours after harvest, locking in peak flavor, texture, and nutrients — perfectly preserved until you’re ready to cook. It’s not a shortcut. It’s the smart way to enjoy top-quality seafood at its best.

Iowa 80 is dubbed the Disney World for truckers. Sitting along I-80, it lies on a crucial corridor for drivers transporting food from the heartland to the coasts. Iowa 80 Truckstop boasts 900 parking spots, a barber shop, and a restaurant that has served over 23 million eggs since opening. But despite being the world's largest, one family still owns Iowa 80. Mom-and-pop truck stops like this one are becoming rare in America.
